I'm excited about the upcoming year and what it holds for my music. I released my first full album, Cicada Skies this past November and I hope to release more. I've got a lot of material that I'm eager to share.

It's been quite a summer. Lots of adventures and lots of time in the sun. I've fallen behind on my posting duties, I'll try to be more on top of things in the future. “Stay Curious” is out now. I loved this song ever since it first came to me. Originally, it was an experiment to see how far I could go without rhyming. I tried to let the melody take the lead and saved the biggest rhyme for the chorus.

OK, so I may have had a crush on Dale Bozzio. I mean, I'm only flesh and blood. I've loved this Missing Persons song forever and only recently thought about recording my own version. So happy I took the leap. I'm very proud of how it turned out. 

I'm so happy with how the video turned out! Stephanie and I went trekking across Piedmont Park and Oakland Cemetery early in the morning to capture the performances. The cardboard amp I made looked great on camera! 

I was able to get  “Healing Seed” released and the music video is being edited now. I've been out of town so I haven't posted much or made any promotional content. I'll try to get more things accomplished over the next few weeks. I'm also getting ready to be a part of the ATL Collective's Songwriters Camp starting on the 19th. I'm really looking forward to meeting more fellow artists and creatives.

A couple of days ago I, along with Stephanie Heath, went out and shot the music video for the next single, Healing Seed, which I'm releasing at the end of this week. I am very excited to get the new song out into the world! It was a beautiful day to shoot even though I was hoping for more cloud cover to try and add some drama. The weather, I have learned, does not like to cooperate with video shoots. We rolled with it though and managed to capture a lot of great imagery.

Alright! I released my first music video ever! Stephanie Heath and I shot it on Arabia Mountain here in Georgia. It was freezing cold but we survived with all of our extremities in place, barely. I love how it turned out. We had a perfect, beautiful sunrise that provided us with a lot of great shots. Now, if only I could improve my performance some. :) Seeing myself on screen, singing to camera is something that may take awhile for me to get used to. It's sort of the same feeling that people have when they hear their own voice recorded: “I sound like that?!” For me it's: “I look like that?!” 

I've been slowly getting the hang of posting and promoting myself online. Made my first Instagram carousel, which is a huge deal since I hadn't spent much time on the app before. A few more tutorials and I'll be a pro in no time. :)  The music video for “Wounded Tree” is in the works an almost finished. Fine tuning the edit right now.

I want to thank those who have been checking out my music and website. It's been one week since I released Wounded Tree and I'm slowly getting used to posting and promoting on social media. I hope to get a lyric video produced for Wounded Tree soon as well as add a page on the website for song lyrics. Thanks again for the support and feedback!
